Job DescriptionHiring Director of Public Utilities for an emerging and expanding county in Central Virginia / Greater Richmond region.We are seeking an enthusiastic, tactful and pragmatic leader to continue the county's consistent focus of providing safe, high quality water and wastewater removal for its growing base of customers.You will provide leadership and carry out complex projects, plus identify improvement opportunities to meet the county's objectives in complex water operations, engineering and development projects, system maintenance and fiscal/budgetary responsibilities.They are counting on this person to act as a positive and engaging representative of the county's utilities department for public appearances, developer meetings, boards and committees, and more.Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related technical field, such as Environmental Engineering or Civil Engineering.
• Experience in public administration including supervisory experience.
• Proven engineering project management / construction management experience in the utility field or similar water / wastewater construction.
