What You'll Do:
Coordinate Customer Orders. Responsible for weighing customer
trucks and providing timely and accurate tickets to customers,
ensuring the smooth traffic flow across the scales. Assist in the
coordination of truck dispatch orders to ensure maximum efficiency.
Ensure tickets are verified for accuracy, numbers, date, and time
and that customer trucks leave the yard adequately loaded.
Prepare and Operate Scales. Prepare scales for daily use. Work with
Plant Admin Support Supervisors to troubleshoot and repair issues.
Operate the truck scales and generate correct tickets for the
customers. Weigh and record incoming materials such as gasoline,
diesel fuel, explosives, and scrap sales.
Perform Daily Plant Duties. Perform daily administrative plant
duties as required by the plant manager or region accounting (e.g.,
purchase orders, payables, time cards, fuel usage, receipts, bank
deposits, tracking costs, and running local reports for the plant
manager).
Maintain Cash Fund. Maintain cash funds accurately and report any
discrepancies. Handle cash sales by collecting cash, checks, or
credit card transactions.
Prepare Monthly Financial Information. Prepare month-end closing
information for Accounting based on the current closing schedule.
Prepare detailed analyses of monthly margin and cost statements as
requested by location management. Reconcile time cards for all
plant personnel, ensuring correct hours are reported and paid.
Provide Excellent Customer Service. Greet customers professionally
and politely. Communicate clearly with customers to bill
transactions correctly. Listen to customer issues and complaints
and work to resolve them through communication with the
sales/dispatch department. Direct customers to piles and instruct
load-out personnel on customer needs. Receive guests and answer
phones, directing questions or problems to the appropriate
individual.
General Office Management. Maintain correct inventory levels for
all plant and office materials, ordering new materials when
appropriate. Prepare correspondence, reports, manuals, and forms.
Work with the region's Human Resources Department to handle
personnel requests and problems. Work with the regional Safety
Department to handle safety and environmental issues.
Additional Responsibilities. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Skills You'll Need:
Experience. Experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or related work
is preferred, with an additional two years of experience, at
minimum, in a customer service role and expertise in an aggregate
setting or similar environment.
Flexibility. The candidate must be willing to work overtime and
extended hours depending on customer and company demands. The
candidate must also be able to work outside in all weather
conditions and tolerate being exposed to loud noises.
Time Management Skills. Must have organizational skills with a
focus on the prioritization of workload. Must be detail-oriented,
self-motivated, dependable, timely, and reliable.
Technology Skills. Must be able to use computers, cell phones, and
other electronic devices. Must have appropriate typing skills and a
thorough understanding of Microsoft Word and Excel.
Interpersonal Skills. Must have outstanding communication skills
and can interact well with people at all levels of the
organization.
Integrity. Employees must act with unyielding integrity and honesty
in business transactions, promote company policies, and hold
themselves and other employees accountable.

and $25.70 per hour. This range does not include our discretionary
