Correctional nurses administer both routine and emergency medical care and treat acute and chronic illnesses and injuries. EducationRequires graduation from a nationally accredited licensed practical nursing program.CertificationsCurrent RN licensure in the state of employment or ability to obtain licenseCurrent Basic Life Support Job Type: Full-TimeCorrectional nursing experience preferred but not requiredAbility to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background checkMeetings:Attend Bi-weekly Nursing Operations meetingAttend IC & CQI monthly meetingConduct Monthly staff meetings (each site)Attend Monthly Manager MeetingReports:Monthly Medical Dept.
